A message to everyone, 

I still remember the day this club was nothing but a thought floating around in my head as I ran in the soaring heat outside. It was a dream.  There was a time were I truly believed that dreaming was only to keep us going and that dreams never really become reality, until right this second when it hit me, while I sit alone at this café sipping away on some coffee, no sugar no cream.  

This is what I must say. Words sometimes cannot do justice for what I feel from pride, respect, admiration and love for all of you who represent the essence and soul of this club. In it friendships have been formed and bonds were made and it is in this club where dreams have become reality for some and on it’s way to become for others. It is in this club where I meet and continue to meet such wonderful people and make friendships that will last a lifetime. I guess I can’t thank you enough after all of this time, you are truly an inspiration to yourselves, me, and many people around the world. 

This is my message for the rest of the world. 

In The Six-K Club we not only embrace health and an active lifestyle but this is the school that breads the leaders of today and tomorrow.  

I am so proud of each and every one of you and I really cannot thank you enough. I love you all. Jasem.

SAS

Okay here is the deal, the weather has not been on our side, and we have not met in a while. The Radisson SAS has granted us visits only during the week. Meaning i can bring in 10 members at a time to their Viking Club which i’m a member off. We can all work out, go to the pool, hang out and relax, it’ll be fun. There charging 8.00 KD to use the entire facility and you have it for the whole day.

I need to get a few interests before i can tell you when, i’ll take 5 guys and 5 girls each time. I think it’ll be good for us to run use the eliptical trainer, do some weight lifting, swim some laps, it’ll be fun.

Today a good friend told me that he wanted to be honest with me and began to tell how i’ve gained weight in the past few weeks. I applaude him for doing that, we sometimes need people to be honest with us because sometimes we tend to forget about ourselves and we let go. I have let go of myself recently, gained a few i must admit. Focused alot on weight lifting and not much on cardio. Today is day 1 for me, i’ll go back to running much more and eating alot healthier. Please all be honest to each other, and don’t get hurt if your friend comes up to you and is honest .. trust me it’s a good thing !

Conclusions

You learn quiet a bit when you write about what you eat everday. It is often the case that we go about our days eating forgetting completely what we had just a few hours ago. Having a food journal can really help you limits your food intake and make better food choices.

this is my conclusion.

I need to stop eating at work, snacking! the problem is with boredom i eat when there is nothing else to do and i need to do away with that, so i’m starting to bring a book to work to read a few pages when things get slow around here, this way atleast i won’t snack away.

I shouldn’t have a late lunch. If i get hungry i need to eat here at work, why? because alot of the social interaction here in Kuwait revolves around food and restaurants and i’m probably out with friends daily for “dinner” .. so if i eat a late lunch it is often the case that i do have dinner and over stuff myself, a big big mistake.

I have decided to change my work out schedule, i used to run 1 day a week and work out (weight train) 4 times a week. NOW, i’m running 3 days a week and weight training 3 days a week and a day off. I think this way i can achieve versatility, strenght and good looks ! ahahahah who am i to flatter myself i slept 2 hours yesterday i haven’t shaved in a while and i am really really sleepy.

Day 7 - the end

7:20 a.m. : Greek Sandwich from Sultan & half a cheddar cheese sandwich. A coupls of potato chips! oh and some Tea ;) … i know i know i over did it a little but i woke up super super hungry.

9:50 a.m. : Lemon chicken sandwich :( i did take one side of the bread off !! i’m on a roll today. Sas i hope your ready for me i’m going to eat the workout machines today!  

10:30 a.m. : Red apple.

5:00 p.m. : A Whole freakin’ baked chicken baby ! a salad and two spoon fulls of white steamed rice!

6:00 p.m. : Weight training, back and shoulders. It was intense !

9:00 p.m. : Craziness starts i walked into the house early this morning. I had quiet a bit of calories i must admit. It feels like hell, but i know how to burn it off. :D

It really has inspired me to set my goals and work on them. I’ve always wanted to loose weight and i’ve tried many times with many failed attempts. The club not only gives you a push to take the first step but it makes sure you take a new step everyday.

What do you like about the Six-K Club the most?

People are very friendly, outgoing, “i don’t just come here to loose weight, but socialize meet nice people and get inspired ‘wayed’ “

If you wanted to tell people to join, what would you say?

if you want to loose some weight this place is definitely the start point!





Day 6

Good Morning…

9:00 a.m. : Black coffee & a haloumi, Zaatar sandwich (Starbucks) .. Minus the Haloum, i’m not a big fan. More like a tomatoe, olives and Mint sandwich.

11:30 a.m. : 4 pieces of ketchup pringles.

12:00 a.m. : Red Galad apple back in town - 1 .

1:30 p.m. : Salad and half a chicken sandwich from Breadz - Soug Sharg. I really love that place it has a great selection of salads.

3:00 p.m. : well :( i got home, dad is in town, he was eating fagi3 :P which i always thought were the same 100 dollars a shred truffles i use to have in L.A. & Vegas but for 8 KD a box from the Saudi in the Camry parked on some street in Kuwait. Damn those things are yummy, sorry tummy i just couldn’t resist.

6:25 p.m. : 6 pistachios 1 diet coke.

7:40 p.m. : Vegetable Noodles and a small piece of brownie which i really felt guilty afterwards.

8:30 p.m. : Put on my favorites sneakers in the whole world, faithless playing in my iPod, and left Bayan to Mishref ran all around Mishref and back to Bayan.

Good Morning.

 8:00 a.m. : Bread, cheese, cucumbers, tomatoes, olives, labnha.

11:00 a.m. : Black coffee - Banana muffin top.

1:30 p.m. : Carrot Juice.

5:00 p.m. : Six- K with a twist ;) - i ran the whole distance alone before people got there and ran going, walked back. Great workout !

7:30 p.m. : Green grapes, 1 banana.

9:30 p.m. : Madness starts ! Burj Al Hamam ! … I went all out. Let’s keep it at that !

Good Morning

 8:00 a.m. : Bread & Cheese and offcourse a weekend must - NAKHI !

1:00 p.m. : Red apple.

2:00 p.m. : Baked Chicken, small salad, steamed rice two spoons. English breakfast tea and a small piece of chocolate.

8:30 p.m - :) Nuts, Potato Chips, Nachos, Dip, Soda, the shabang ! I need gym time big time tomorow …

8:50 a.m. : Black coffee.

11:30 a.m. : (only a quarter) - of a coffee franpacino.

1:05 p.m. : quarter of a haloum sandwich.

2:00 p.m. : 1 Biscuit.

4:30 p.m. : Minced meat stuff Zucinni’s (Kousa) - Small Salad - Half a diet coke.

8:00 p.m. : Salad and a two slices of bread - Gaucho Grill.

9:15 p.m. : Resistance training at SAS - Chest & Biceps !

Good morning everyone.

6:15 a.m. : some bread and cheddar cheese, and a glass of tea, no sugar.

8:45 a.m. : black coffee, no sugar.

8:50 a.m. : Red Gala apple. (i’m in love with these things)

10:50 a.m. : Nutri- Grain Fruit & Nut Bars - Berry & Almond

12:00 p.m. : belVita Golden Bran biscuits. - i need to stop eating!

5:45 p.m. : 1 chicken breast, small salad. 1 diet coke.

8:45 p.m. : Some sea food, water, and a great desert ! - definatley GYM tomorow ;)

*I honestly learned today that i need to stop eating at work when there is not much to do.
